Going Home!

Anna was released from the hospital 4 days after having open heart surgery - Is that not amazing? She is recovering well and except for the medicines she has to take, she enjoys most of her days at home. This week she has really discovered her feet and lifts them up to stare at them. She also has been giving out oodles of smiles this week. I don't think we realized how hard things were on her before the surgery. She used so much energy just to breathe and eat that she didn't have much left for smiling and exploring. We are so thankful for her fast recovery and her new found joy!

Wow, her cheeks look so round in that picture! It won't be long now before she is pushing Carter around - & I can't wait! I think we need to come up with a nickname for Anna that encapsulates the trooper she is....

Hello Maggiore family,
Pete and I had been talking of everyone in VA and wondering how you were all doing. I emailed Heather and she caught me up to date on all that's going on in VA. First, welcome to baby Anna! Secondly, what an incredible journey for one so small - you will definitely be in our thoughts and prayers as she continues the recovery process. God undoubtedly has a divine plan for all of you. We miss you all but your blogs are great! What a fun way to keep in touch. I guess I need to start that. Have a blessed weekend.

Look at that little sweetheart!!! Praise the Lord....the One who still is in the business of making miracles happen. I know you've experienced alot of them weaved throughout the last few weeks. You are right he doesn't give us more that we can handle even when we don't think we can handle it. To God be the Glory!!

What a beautiful tribute to God Almighty! Why do any of us ever doubt His goodness? Why do we worry and fret over little things? My goodness....This little precious Anna is no "little" thing and yet God, in His wonderful mercy came through for the Maggiore family! How thankful we are to read these precious words and see that precious picture of how well she is doing! Yes....TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

lOVE YOU GUYS!
