"I'm So Glad I'm 4!"

Yes, those were Erin's first words yesterday. Turning 4 has been very exciting for her. It amazes me that despite already celebrating all week, the actual DAY she turned 4 was the most exciting! It was the culmination of all things birthday for at least a month here in our house.

We started the day at Sandfiddler Cafe a yummy little breakfast joint in Ocean View. They sang to Erin and gave her a frozen icecream cupcake, all at 9:00 in the morning! Then we spent a few hours up at Water Country. We tried to convince her that since she was 4 she was brave enough to go on some new rides, but it didn't work.

After that we all came back and rested for a little before hitting Firehouse Subs for dinner. Then on to Chuck E Cheese for playtime and loving on the "real" Chuck E Cheese. And what birthday wouldn't be complete without a trip to Coldstone. Since we're members of the birthday club at Firehouse and Coldstone - we ate for free! That's when its nice to have bdays so close together. It was the perfect day of celebrating all things Erin and doing everything she loves to do!

This dessert was really good, and I'm going to have to try and copycat it.
MawMaw didn't know what she was in for with this slide.
2 bathing beauties.
Jumping in the waves with Daddy.
Completely tuckered out.
Erin loves this Dalmation at Firehouse. She had quite the conversation with it.
On to the Mouse! The one and only CEC.
We lucked out and the"real" CEC came out and gave hugs.

A Mickey Mouse Birthday!

Phew...Are we done with Birthdays yet? Not quite...Erin turns 4 tomorrow, and I still don't believe it. We celebrated with the family on Sunday after church with a pizza lunch and a beautiful Mickey Cake. Today we had a small playdate birthday. All the kids painted their own canvas masterpiece and then we had Mickey Pizza and another Mickey cake. It has been a busy couple of weeks and we're looking forward to things slowing down!(Ha) Tomorrow we'll take Erin to Water Country and possibly Chuck E Cheese - what more could a 4 year old ask for!
I love my little Mouskateer!

The Best Tuesday all week!

Okay - after blogging for about a year, I'm trying to think of some new titles, I know there is only one Tuesday this week, but it was a great one.

We started off with a leisurely morning at home. Anna was finally back to her chipper self and was willing to play independently so Erin and I could make some Banana muffins. Then Anna and I did a little "workout" and "practice standing." Anna got a quick nap and it was off for some sunshine and fun.

We met Heather and April and the kiddos at Botanical Gardens. It was a perfect day to be outside, not too hot and very breezy. We have been itching to go to the Gardens and were so glad it worked out.

2 little supermodels posing.
After an exhausting midmorning of play, the girls both took great naps while I was able to accomplish quite a few tasks on my list. I have photoalbums up to date through February and only a few scrapbook pages left to do for Anna.

Then, we got a nice surprise when Joe arrived home a little early. We grilled yummy chicken on the grill and ate outside on the deck to enjoy the weather. We also got to meet our newest neighbor, 6 day old Eli - he's super cute.

What perfect day wouldn't end with a trip to get icecream with grandma. We met Baba and Nana up at Brusters and let them take home Erin for the night. So now all that's left is Anna in the bathtub(Joe's with her and just told me she has discovered her belly button!) a nighttime bottle, a conference call for me and the Olympics. What a great Tuesday!

Oh the Places We'll Go

Here's what Little Anna's been up to since she turned 1!
Already a bargain shopper - checking out those Sunday ads!
Anna has been practicing her standing a little bit each day. She did really well today playing at the couch. We're getting there, just have to keep practicing!

A Day out with the Girls

My two favorite girls!
For my actual birthday on Friday I got to do one of my favorite things - go shopping. Erin was at VBS so Mom, Kim, Jen and Anna and Blake and I headed over to Lynnhaven Mall to get some good shopping in and I was actually able to find some new shorts and and shirt. Then we all met up for lunch at UNO Chicago Grill for yummy pizza and a dessert the size of a house. Don't worry, I didn't eat it all, we all shared it! It was a great day with my family and we topped it off by doing a little more shopping with Daddy that evening.

Cousins

These 2 are really starting to like each other. Good thing, they'll be stuck with each other for years to come! We love cousins!

Covered!

We always wondered at what age kids started to want to be covered up. Erin asked for a top sheet this week and this is what we found one night. So cute and snuggly!
