Bye Bye Baby!

Ever since Anna started walking she's started to look so grown up. Her baby face is disappearing and we're seeing glimpses of a little lady in there. Her personality has grown quite a bit too, and she is in love with her big sister and thinks she can do exactly what Erin does. We know we have to let her grow up, but it sure was nice having a baby for a little longer this time!

Another Goodbye:(

This week we had to say goodbye to Erin's preschool teacher, Mrs. Mullen. She and her husband are moving to NC to work at a new church. She has been such a blessing to Erin and always so caring and loving. We certainly will miss her. Erin is confident the new teacher will be okay because she knows how the leader schedule works. I can guarantee you Erin will keep her in line!

All Dressed up with Some Place to Go!

Last Tuesday night the Chick-Fil-A at Battlefield did a dinner with the Princesses! We didn't tell Erin where she was going, we just told her for once she got to wear her dress-up clothes out on the town. We had a few minor issues with pride and exclamations of "Everyone will think I'm so beautiful." Little did she know the place would be crawling with little princesses! We were treated to a few pictures with the beautiful Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty as well as Prince Charming(anyone recognize him from church?) Erin had a wonderful time and was very appreciative of this special surprise!

Sunny Days

Sweeping the clouds away....Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

It has officially started, the Busch Gardens season that is. We have never made it for Pass Holder Preview Day so we were determined to make it this year since our dearly loved friends have arrived. Yes, Sesame Street has come to town, complete with Big Bird and Elmo. This was Anna's first true "meeting" with the fuzzy friends and she's just like her sister, not scared one bit. I'm guessing our 3rd child will be deathly afraid of fuzzy creatures! It was a beautiful afternoon full of excitement including a quick show, a meet and greet and Anna's first ride on the ladybugs and boats. Oh what fun this summer is going to be with 2 little girls that love going to Busch Gardens!

Growing Up...

Our family has had a few little ones grow up over the last month. Blake turned the BIG 1 on the 14th and Samara turned the BIG 4 on the 15th. After a weekend of family parties we are reminded just how blessed we are to be surrounded by our family and able to celebrate these big milestones with each other. We love cousin time and it is so fun to watch them love on each other. Blake and Anna are quite the little buddies and will probably get into lots of trouble together this summer!

Take a good look at those cakes - My dad has been blessed with the talent and the patience to make each grandchild a very special cake every year. You can imagine making 1 cake, but every March he'll have to make 2 in one weekend. Sure wish this was a talent that was passed down to me!

Blow out the candle Blake!

This is what we'd look like with a boy!

Samara and her Barbie cake!

These 2 are quite the little princesses.

All About Erin

This post is solely about Erin because next to Disney World I would say she's had the best week of her life. Sadly, I don't have oodles of pictures to show it because I wasn't with her for most of the exciting things. It all began last week when we met our nieces at Great Wolf Lodge. Since then, Erin has been out to eat several times, out for icecream, to the Living Museum, to the Aquarium , to Jumpin' Monkey, and bowling. She did all of this, except for J.M., with her big girl cousins and Baba who were very kind to include her. I don't know how she is not completely exhausted, but she's still going strong. We are all very sad to see the cousins go back home, but I think Erin will miss them most of all!
A Bragging Moment: Erin made this letter by herself for her Baba who wasn't feeling well last weekend. It was her attempt at "Baba I hope you feel better" and I was rather impressed as she got most of the consonants. It won't be long now until she's writing words!

Funny Story: One night at dinner someone asked the girls if they had boyfriends, Erin chimed in "I have a lot of boyfriends, not so many girlfriends. But, one of my boys moved to Georgia." I thought it was so sweet and innocent. She does have a multitude of boy "friends" and not too many girl "friends" and she certainly misses her Anderson!

Let the Beach Days/Nights Begin

With the weather absolutely perfect last Sunday night we headed down to the oceanfront to get some sand in our toes. I love watching the girls play at the beach and soak in the beauty of God's creation. Anna wasn't so sure about walking in the sand, but I'm sure she'll be running in it by the end of the summer! Erin of course chased a few seagulls and exerted all her energy!
