Saturday was our annual trip to Brookdale farm to pick strawberries with the Saunders and the Judds. However the Judds left us hanging this year! Erin kept asking if Anderson would be there because he always has been. Boo Hoo! We had a great time despite the mud. Anna didn't care much for picking and putting them in the basket, she preferred just to eat them - so I let her! Erin did great as always and got me a slew(sp?) of beautiful, yet oddly shaped, red strawberries. Joe's all time favorite dessert is Strawberry shortcake so he is very happy with our work!
sniff sniff, but like you said, we were picking together in spirit!!! I made a strawberry pie so we'll enjoy that tonite!!! yummo!
ReplyDeletei agree - strawberry shortcake is the best!!! we got some on our last trip to SC, but it wasn't enough for me...i'm ready to pick some more!!!
