A Stinker Among Us

Anna's newest nickname is "Stinker", and we say that very lovingly! She is in to everything. Nothing is off limits to her as far as she is concerned. Daily she finds her way to the pantry, which she can now open by herself, and helps herself to a cereal snack. This morning she wanted a variety so she opened 2 bags. When she gets caught, she just smiles and waves at us! I can tell that 2 is approaching very quickly and she has quite an independent streak.

An Artist Among Us

Any of you that know Erin pretty well know about her love for drawing. She never ceases to amaze me with her creations. She has a book that teaches her how to draw Mickey characters and she spent over an hour doing this the other night. I was asked to assist with Daisy, which was then erased and redone by her since I was informed I'm not a very good artist. It's the truth, I'm not - this is all from Daddy!

Sisterly Love

These 2 are getting to the point where they interact with each other. Of course, Anna thinks Erin hung the moon, but only if she isn't messing with her stuff. Erin was sitting in the rocking chair, which is Anna's, so Anna found a way to weasel herself into it. Other times they love to mess around and giggle with each other. I don't know how they ended up laying on the floor, but they both thought it was very funny!

Bobbin' it!

Well, I did it. Joe has wanted me to do this for a long time and today we took the plunge. See for yourself....

BEFORE
AFTER

After many days of tangles and tears we had Erin's hair cut into a cute bob today. I have no idea how it hold up, but for now, it is adorable and we're so happy we did it!

Erin's Pride

The "Pride" of Lions
One up close and personal!

Erin has the curse of a Summer birthday which means school parties have to be celebrated early. On Monday we took cupcakes to school to share as Erin's birthday snack. She wanted a Madagascar theme, so we made Lion Cupcakes. I'm rather proud of "the pride" of lions we created using items we had on hand. I did have a little help from a "recipe!" Erin got a big kick out of them and said her friends loved them!

Mother's Day 2009

There's no better way to celebrate Mother's Day than with your precious children and your mom. I was blessed to have the day with my girls, my mom and my mom-in-law. There was a lot of eating involved which made it even better. It was a very special mother's day!

Pickin' Berries!

Saturday was our annual trip to Brookdale farm to pick strawberries with the Saunders and the Judds. However the Judds left us hanging this year! Erin kept asking if Anderson would be there because he always has been. Boo Hoo! We had a great time despite the mud. Anna didn't care much for picking and putting them in the basket, she preferred just to eat them - so I let her! Erin did great as always and got me a slew(sp?) of beautiful, yet oddly shaped, red strawberries. Joe's all time favorite dessert is Strawberry shortcake so he is very happy with our work!
